Multi-phase Airfield Development Program

The Grand Forks Regional Airport Authority is currently in a multi-phase airfield development program. Crews are in the process of reconstructing our Primary Runway 17R/35L. This runway was last resurfaced in 2001 and was originally constructed in 1963. The first phase, the North portion, is planned to be completed by October 2026. The next phase, the Middle and South portions, will begin in the Spring of 2027. All of the existing pavement is crushed, recycled, and used as backfill in the new construction.
