Following a nationwide search, the Grand Forks Regional Airport Authority has selected Ryan Riesinger to be the Executive Director at the Grand Forks International Airport. Riesinger will begin his new position on January 11, 2016.
As the Executive Director, Riesinger will plan, organize, and direct the operations, maintenance, and development of the Grand Forks International Airport. He will also be responsible for community relations, air service development, fiscal oversight and strategic planning.
With a career spanning over 19 years in the airport industry, Riesinger served the past 11 years as the Assistant Manager of the MBS International Airport in Freeland, Michigan. Previous positions include Operations Supervisor at the Dane County Regional Airport in Madison, WI, and Airport Manager at the Worthington Municipal Airport in Worthington, MN.

Riesinger holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Airport Management from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. He is a Certified Member (CM) of the American Association of Airport Executives and is a licensed private pilot.
Ryan and his wife Beth have two young children. They enjoy playing and watching sports, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

The Airport is served by Delta with flights to Minneapolis/St. Paul, Allegiant to Orlando, Phoenix, and Las Vegas, and is a large regional sorting facility for FedEx. The Grand Forks International Airport has recently been ranked the 22nd busiest airport in the country and is home to the University of North Dakota’s John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences.
